Memorial Day

I know this is late, but we had a relaxing Memorial Day here in Salt Lake. We had planned to go with my family to our cabin but Owen got sick so we had to change our plans.

The boys went on a fun bike ride Saturday morning, Owen has not stopped talking about it since.





We went to visit the cemetery and remembered our loved ones that we miss so much.



Owen also enjoyed his first ice cream cone, he is a Hinckley- he starts eating chocolate and he can't stop smiling!

27.

Joseph turned 27 last Friday. We had a fun and relaxing birthday weekend; went out to dinner, saw a movie, went for a hike, and had a family birthday dinner.

Spring.

We've been having fun while being home this past week. We went on a fun hike with family last weekend.







Owen loves his cousin Olivia. They loved throwing all the couch cushions on the floor and jumping on them - it took up a good amount of time while we waited out the cold weather we are still having.

Road Trip.

We made it back to Utah. It was a long, windy drive; we were so glad to pull in to the driveway on Tuesday afternoon. We've missed our family, friends, the mountains, our favorite restaurants and just being home.

We packed our car more than we thought was possible and probably brought more than we should have but . . . oh well!

Leaving Kansas at 5:30 in the morning. We thought Owen would fall back asleep if we left early enough- but we were wrong, he was wide awake! (So was Joseph!)



Day 2: stopping in at Little America, WY for lunch.



Finally making it home; it was a long drive and we were glad to not be in a car for awhile.

Deanna Rose Farm

We have been trying to get all of our favorite Kansas activities in before we leave for the Summer. We love going to the Deanna Rose Farm; they have cows, horses, goats, chickens and much more. Owen loved running around and playing on the playground.



Owen wasn't big enough to actually ride the tractors, but he liked pushing it around.






This was a pretty tricky picture to take, getting so many boys to sit still was a lot more difficult than we originally thought it would be! (I got everyone except Jack in this one)



Just happy to be outside.

Easter.

Earlier last week we decorated some eggs in preparation for Easter.



Owen loved his "B-ball" eggs full of candy.



We took a couple of Easter pictures, the weather was so nice- we are so happy to see some sun and to be able to enjoy the outside!





It was such a nice Easter Conference weekend, we loved hearing all the talks during general conference and to share the day with family and friends.

Home.

This past week I went to Salt Lake. It was so nice to see my parents and to be with family. We did some fun shopping, ate good food and enjoyed some nice and not so nice weather.

Our favorite little market is closing. I went in for one last treat and all the shelves were practically empty, some of the lights were off, and the store was cold- it was so sad.



Lunch at the Blue Plate Diner with Buddy Mondlock.



We had a baby shower for my friend Cassi the night before we left Salt Lake; it was fun to see so many of my friends from high school and college. Jenny, Megan, and I hosted the shower together- we are so excited for Cassi and can't wait to meet her baby girl soon!
